Accessibility-Based Equity of Public Facilities: a Case Study in Xiamen, China

Abstract China's rapid economic development has led to inequality in terms of property, education, and health. Equal access basic public facilities become a key concern inclusive policies. However, previous studies have paid little attention the effects different travel modes on accessibility facilities. The present research fills this gap. Taking Xiamen city as case study, it explores degrees horizontal vertical equity by examining various facilities, paying times. results for show that disadvantaged groups experience greater level inequity. By taking these aspects into account, one is better equipped identify areas where need substantial improvement.
